Girls & Boys Town is a district of Omaha that grew up around a community help centre for orphaned. abandoned and troubled children founded by Father Flanagan in 1917. around the closing period of the First World War. Over the years. the community has also provided education and training for young people and has grown to host schools and workshops for them and recreation facilities and housing for those who are involved in educating the new arrivals. This gave rise to developments on land donated by the mayor of the city that these have fast become the size of a small town with an ever growing population. seeing that many of the boys and girls once they become of age have the choice of remaining and practising the trade or job that they have learnt. Today. the community supports itself and is a popular destination for groups of tourists. humanitarian organisations. NGOs and voluntary associations alike.
Benito Guerra. President and CEO of Robur declared: The close relationship between Robur and the Girls and Boys Town dates back nearly fifteen years. We are very proud that our technology contributes in some small way to the life of this community with whom we strongly share both values and mission. I feel proud every time that our company succeeds in pursuing its corporate goals also through its social commitment to the environment and the community in which it operates. Moreover. the fact that our conditioning systems are still working perfectly after fifteen years is even more satisfying; I regard it as tangible proof of the reliability of our technology.
