ROBUR is the leading Italian manufacturer of gas fired. air cooled. absorption devices for residential application; the definition of chillers would be truly restrictive in this case.
The companys name itself gives us a basic idea of their approach to product design and manufacturing techniques.
Robur. a Latin word. means oak wood. robustness. strength. and implies energy and power; qualities inherent in Robur production.
Since its establishment in 1956 (the company is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year) Robur has been fully and continuously owned by a strong. serious and determined though gentle and thoughtful family now flanked by a swarm of deserving sprouts.
Based in Zingonia-Bergamo. a crowded industrial area in Lombardy. the Robur plant covers over 25.000 square meters and employs 250 employees in a highly sophisticated production.
The many patents involved in the design of components and the singleness of their fabrication necessitates vertically diversified production.
