Gas-fired absorption heat pump for production of hot water up to 140 °F, using renewable energy with efficiency over 129%.
Advantages:
• Extremely high energy efficiency: the GAHP-A unit provides efficiency over 129%, saving up to 40% in running costs compared to the best gas boilers, by means of recovering 38% of the energy from renewable source (air). It is therefore the best heating system for improving the energy efficiency of buildings.
• Overall system efficiency increases when the GAHP-A unit is used to integrate boilers with lower energy efficiency.
• Stable operation even at very low outside temperatures: even at temperatures as low as –4 °F the GAHP-A unit still provides efficiency over 100%, and is therefore suitable for use in extremely cold regions.
• Single Phase Power.
• The prevailing use of gas reduces the need of electric power by approximately 87% in comparison with electric compression units (0.9 electric kW for 123,500 BTU/h heating).
