Gas-fired reversible absorption heat pump unit for production of hot water up to 140 °F and cold water to 37.4 °F, using renewable energy with heating efficiency of 126%.
Advantages:
• Extremely high energy efficiency: the GAHP-AR unit provides efficiency over 126%, saving up to 40% in running costs compared to the best gas boilers, by means of recovering 34% of the energy from renewable source (air). It is therefore the best heating system for improving the energy efficiency of buildings.
• With a single machine and single system it is also possible to provide air conditioning, burning fuel gas.
• 87% reduction in electrical power requirement (0.75 kWe for 120,400 BTU/h of heating output or 57,700 BTU/h of cooling output), compared with traditional electrical systems, since the primary energy source is fuel gas.
• Stable operation, even at very low outside temperatures: even at temperatures as low as –4 °F the GAHP-AR unit still provides efficiency of over 100%, and is therefore suitable for use in extremely cold regions.
• Single Phase Power.
• No need to increase electric power demand.
• For application requiring standby power, the electric generator size and electric output will be lower.
