The technology of gas absorption heat pumps, developed over twenty years ago, has continued to evolve thanks to constant improvements in thermodynamic exchange processes. The new GAHP Plus generation introduces major technical innovations that enhance efficiency, especially during seasonal operation at partial load, ensuring excellent performance even under variable energy demand.
Main innovations introduced:
- New sealed circuit configuration, with optimised components to improve heat exchange even at low loads;
- Completely redesigned combustion circuit, from the intake of combustion air to the flue gas heat exchanger;
- High-efficiency brushless fans, with continuous modulating control;
- New electronic unit management, including regulation of thermal input according to climatic conditions and gas type;
- H2Ready 20% technology, enabling operation with gas blends containing up to 20% hydrogen, for greater compatibility with future sustainable energy networks.

A rational use of energy delivers the best performance results. By exploiting the abundant heat naturally available in air, ground, or water, together with a primary source such as gas, GAHP absorption heat pumps achieve outstanding performance with efficiencies up to 174%.

Thanks to the unique characteristics of the thermodynamic cycle, GAHP performance is only minimally affected by outdoor weather conditions. This ensures hot water production up to 70 °C even in extremely cold climates.

F-Gas exempt and GWP = 0
By using a natural refrigerant (ammonia), which is not subject to restrictions or reporting obligations, GAHP units have an almost zero impact on global warming, effectively eliminating the use of climate-altering HFC and HFO gases. They are also exempt from F-Gas regulations.
The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, in two separate studies conducted by the Universities of Marche and Pisa comparing different HVAC technologies, highlighted that the GAHP heat pump is the technology with the lowest overall environmental impact in terms of emissions harmful to human health (NOx, PM, VOC, COx).
