From oil-fired heating to renewable energy: efficiency and sustainability for the design industry

Customer requirements
Corti Design srl is a company specialised in metal carpentry for high-end furniture design, with two operational sites: one in Vilminore di Scalve (BG) and one in Giussano (MB).
After acquiring the new Giussano facility — a historic building in the sector with over 70 years of activity — the company recognised the need to upgrade the heating system, previously powered by heating oil, in order to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs and ensure greater comfort for workers.
Another challenge was to integrate both heating and cooling into a single system for the production areas, covering a total surface of around 2,500 m2.
The Robur solution
Guided by its HVAC consultant, the company chose once again to rely on Robur, already a trusted supplier for the Vilminore di Scalve site.
The selected solution was the installation of ten Robur e-NextPro air-to-air heat pumps, providing both heating and cooling in a single system.
The HVAC designer, Eng. Emanuele Patelli, managed the sizing and design of the system, leveraging the modularity and flexibility of the Robur solution. The indoor units were strategically positioned within the production areas to ensure uniform comfort distribution and fast installation, also thanks to the compact design of the units.
Benefits achieved
The e-NextPro system enabled Corti Design to completely eliminate heating oil, reducing consumption and environmental impact thanks to the high share of renewable energy provided by the heat pumps.

The contribution of Robur’s technicians was essential, supporting both the designer and the company throughout all stages: from the preliminary analysis and positioning of the units to commissioning and final testing. An additional value lies in the fact that all e-NextPro components are entirely manufactured in Italy, ensuring quality, reliability and long-term service continuity.
Thanks to the collaboration between Corti Design, the HVAC designer and Robur, the new system now stands as a concrete example of energy efficiency and sustainable comfort for the manufacturing sector.
