Fratelli Di Martino is a logistics company based in Guardamiglio (LO), active in national and international transport since the 1940s, with a fleet of over 3,000 loading units. Always committed to environmental sustainability, the company has adopted intermodal transport as its core logistics strategy, combining road transport for the first and last mile with railway or maritime segments. This sustainability approach extends to its logistics facilities, where the company has invested in energy-efficient building solutions. In this context, the Guardamiglio site required a modern and efficient system for heating and cooling the office building, which spans three floors and features various types of emitters, including fan coils and radiators.
The Robur solution
To meet these needs, Fratelli Di Martino chose the Robur Hybrid system—an integrated solution made up of two gas absorption heat pumps (GHP-AR models) and one electric heat pump. This system was selected for its ability to operate in hybrid mode, flexibly and efficiently combining two energy sources: natural gas and electricity. The installation is also equipped with the InCloud Watcher monitoring and remote management system, enabling optimal control of energy consumption and performance throughout the building.
The Advantages
The adoption of the Robur Hybrid system allowed Fratelli Di Martino to combine energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, in line with their corporate philosophy. The ability to integrate electricity (including that from solar panels) with natural gas through a hybrid technology marked a significant step forward in reducing consumption and emissions. Additionally, thanks to the Conto Termico incentive programme, the company benefited from financial support that reduced the initial investment. Remote monitoring via InCloud Watcher ensures precise control over system performance, helping optimise operating costs and improve indoor comfort for employees.
